5 – Map Layers:

The right side of the map layout shows the available data layers.  Layers are stacked on top of one another in the map image in the order that they appear in the list.  Turn layers On or Off by checking or un-checking the checkbox next to each layer name.

Note:  Aerial Photos slow drawing time significantly and only appear when zoomed in.  We suggest turning the photos on after you have found a location of interest.

6 – Parcel Search:

To search for a particular parcel, choose Address, Owner, or Parcel ID from the Search area.

You will then be sent to a new page with a

list of possible search values.

When you choose an item from the search list,

the Parcel Information Card (section 10) with detailed

information about the parcel will be displayed.

From the Parcel Information Card (section 10) you can click a button to “Find Parcel On Map” or use the Abutters Tool (section 8) to generate a list of properties within a specified distance of the selected parcel.

7 – Parcel Selection / Get Info:

To view the Parcel Information Card (section 10) for a parcel, activate the Selection Tool by clicking on the button with an "S" on it from the Tools menu (section 4).

You may also use one of the three Parcel Search (section 6) methods to view detailed parcel information.

8 – Parcel Information Card:

The Parcel Information Card displays information about the currently selected parcel.  To select a parcel, use either the Selection Tool or one of the three parcel search methods (Address, Owner, Parcel ID).

Click the "Find Parcel On Map" button to zoom to and highlight the parcel in a new map window.

Use the Abutters Tool (section 8), found at the bottom right of each parcel information card, to generate a list of parcels within a specified distance of the selected parcel.

To display a map image suitable for 8"x11" landscape printing, click the Print button.

To display just the map image in a new window, click Export.  To save the map image to your computer,

right-click on the image and choose Save As.

The print layout is designed for standard 8.5 x 11 inch paper in Landscape mode.  To turn on Landscape mode in your internet browser, please go to File->Page Setup and choose "Landscape" as the page orientation.

When printing a map, the background colors on the map layout will not show up on the printout unless you have explicitly told your browser to print them.  If you would like to print a map with all of the background colors please do the following:

Internet Explorer:
  Click
Tools->Internet Options and then the Advanced tab.  Scroll down the list and find the Printing section.  Check "Print background colors and images".

To use the Abutters Tool, enter a distance in feet and click either Full List or Quick List to view a list of parcels within the specified distance of the selected parcel.

Full List displays a full parcel information card for each parcel found in the search.

Quick List displays just owner address information for each parcel found in the search.
