MainStreetGIS spent two days with Hosler Maps Inc. of Germantown, OH,
integrating MainStreetMapbooks into their patented Mapboard production
process. Mapboards provide dynamic wall-sized maps using a grid and tile
system, ideal for control rooms with applications in engineering, circuit
modeling, business, routing, and municipal geographics. |

"GIS Implementation Proceeding Smoothly"
Another big step in implementation will be the production of the map
books. To help produce these books efficiently, a software tool from
MainStreetGIS has been installed. A MainStreetGIS representative spent two
days at EnergyUnited helping configure the software and demonstrating the
process to produce the map books. Sample maps will be generated and given
to field personnel for their feedback. Once this is completed, the new map
books will be produced, and the GIS will become fully operational in early
summer. |
